Key activities include baseline and feasibility studies , national / sub-national/city based or regional start-up & innovation strategies. We pilot strategies  into action, advise on policy review, support mechanisms for entrepreneurial & innovation sector. We also support design of startup and SME friendly financial instruments & incentives.

We also work with development organisations, regional economic bodies, international non-profit organisations, city governments, academia and private sector.

Capacity building for stakeholders is done to stimulate and nurture entrepreneurship activities through training activities,  technical advisory and enhanced communication & interactions across the ecosystem through our platforms.

What we are doing

In 2021, we participated in Trade Mark East Africa’s Annual Review of programes in Burundi, DR Congo and Zambia

Starting late 2020, we started work to support development of East Africa Community E-commerce Strategy as part of Pan-African e-Commerce Initiative. Under this project, we contributed to the following elements of the strategy in all 6 partner states; 1. Trade facilitation & logistics 2. Improving market access conditions 3. Approaches for human resource development 4. Capacity development of businesses to enable them participate in the digital economy 5. Formation of national and regional stakeholder engagement platform for coordination of e-commerce matters.

In 2019 we developed a 10 year Economic Blue Print for Economic blue print for SEKEB (South Eastern Kenya Economic Bloc)
